Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Congratulations to all those who recently completed ASIST training with the Niamh Louise Foundation at Western House Coalisland!

The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training is a 2-day course which aims to help participants to feel more confident and competent when dealing with a person who is at risk of suicide.  Participants learn how to recognise and estimate risk and explore how to intervene to prevent immediate risk of suicide using an internationally accepted model for intervention.

The training was facilitated by Catherine Mc Bennett and Garreth Falls and those who completed the course were, Rosie Gordon, Deborah Mc Geown, Benny Fee, Teresa Dillon, Karen Wylie, Tomas Wasiak, Brian Kelly, Sharron Mc Hugh, Sinead Devlin, Grainne O Neill, Teresa Mc Kenna, Maeve Mc Caughey, Margaret Sloan, Mary Mc Cullagh.
