Niamh Louise Foundation host Walk & Talk to promote World Mental Health Awareness Day 10th October.

The annual Walk and Talk to mark World Mental Health Awareness Day was a great success.  The Niamh Louise Foundation would like to thank all those who took part and made it an enjoyable event.

The Walk & Talk event commenced at 1pm in Dungannon Park, this being a central location for all offices.  This walk gains momentum every year with a great turn out and helps promote wellbeing and positive mental health for all.

Mayor of Dungannon Kenneth Reid and Cllr  Sean Clark, chair of Cookstown council  kindly took time to attend the event to promote World Mental Health Awareness Day and help support the work and the services we provide in the Community.

World Mental Health Awareness Day is annually held on the 10th October in conjunction with the World Health Organisation.  Its aim is to promote awareness about mental health issues world wide and reduce the stigma of suffers.

Mental Health Disorders affect 12% of the world’s population with 450million people suffering world wide.

These events will aid in the promotion of open discussion on mental health issues as well as providing resources to help prevent poor mental health well being.

The Niamh Louise Foundation would like to pay special thanks to ROCKWELL for kindly donating the water for the event.
