The Niamh Louise Foundation has set up a new monthly support group that meets on Monday mornings for those who recognise some or many of the experiences described below, and for those who have had a diagnosis as ‘bipolar’.
A fun day was held in Armagh on the 18th September in cooperation with the Niamh Louise Foundation, REACT and Laurelvale Community Association. This event was attended by people of all ages to raise awareness of local services
The Niamh Louise Foundation have attended the Farmers Marts in Clogher and Granville to raise awareness in the rural and farming community.
The Niamh Louise Foundation and TIPSA came together on Thursday 16th September to run a quiz to raise awareness of the work of both organisations and also provide people with an opportunity for an evening’s fun.
On Tuesday 31st August, Eimear Mc Kearney and Cathy Hanna were welcomed to Holy Trininty College, Cookstown, to deliver the Mental Health, Suicide and Self Harm Workshop to the entire staff at the school. In order to help the staff in their daily work and to raise their awareness of suicide and self harm a short presentation was delivered to the large group.
On Tuesday 15th December 2009, Eimear Mc Kearney was welcomed to Drumglass High School Dungannon, to deliver the Mental Health, Suicide and Self Harm Workshop
The Niamh Louise Foundation is pleased to announce that they have been successful in receiving grant assistance from the Irish youth Foundation (UK) Limited for project work with vulnerable young people.
Students at South West College took a break from assignments, projects and studying to attend their very own ‘De-Stress Fest’, which was organised at the Dungannon Campus by second year Business students! The timing of the event could not have been better, particularly in the run-up to end of year exams and assignment deadlines!

On 24th and 25th February, the Niamh Louise Foundation ran a very successful ASIST course. Thanks to funding from Comic Relief 14 people attended the two day course on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
