Niamh Louise Foundation to promote World Mental Health Awareness Day 10th October 2011

On Monday 10th October 2011 the Niamh Louise Foundation will join other organisations across Northern Ireland in hosting a Coffee Morning in each of its three Centres, Coalisland, Richhill and Cookstown.  The Coffee Morning will commence at 10am and everyone is WELCOME for an enjoyable morning.

Prior to this the Foundation is holding its annual Walk & Talk event which will take part in Dungannon Park  at 1pm,  this being a central location for all offices. This walk gains momentum every year with a great turn out and helps promote wellbeing and positive mental health for all.  The duration of the walk will be approximately two hours, water and refreshments will be provided.

The Mayors from each of the three Council areas have kindly taken the time to attend all our offices to promote World Mental Health Awareness Day and help support the work and the services we provide in the Community.

World Mental Health Awareness Day is annually held on the 10th October in conjunction with the World Health Organisation. Its aim is to promote awareness about mental health issues world wide and reduce the stigma of suffers.
Mental Health Disorders affect 12% of the world’s population with 450million people suffering world wide.

These events will aid in the promotion of open discussion on mental health issues as well as providing resources to help prevent poor mental health well being.  We look forward to your attendance.
