We lay our cards on the table-
Pouring out our questions, our pain,
Our guilt, our sorrow.
And through our tears
We feel safe, we find acceptance
And we are cared for.
In the sharing of our brokenness
We find healing.
We find a connection
That unites us,
Strengthens and comforts us
And gives us hope for tomorrow.
Hope
That though we may never fully recover,
That one day
We might be able
To join up some of the broken pieces.”
